Ingredients

    • Beef mince½ KG
    • Papaya Paste1 cup
    • Ginger Paste1 tablespoon
    • Garlic Paste1 tablespoon
    • Coconut Powder1 tablespoon
    • Cloves6 – 7
    • Cinnamon stick1
    • Cardamom5 – 6
    • Poppy seeds½ teaspoon
    • Red whole chili5 – 6
    • Ghee1 cup
    • Saltto taste
    • Yogurt1 cup
    • Coriander, choppedgarnish
    • Garam masala1 teaspoon
    • Fried onion½ cup
    • Charcoal pre-heatedfor steam

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl combine beef mince with raw Papaya paste ginger garlic paste, mix well, cover and let it marinate for overnight or 3 hours.
  • In a frying pan add coconut, cinnamon stick, cloves, green cardamom, poppy seeds, red whole chili and roast and then grind into a coarse powder.
  • In a wok heat ghee over medium flame, add the masala and mix.
  • Add the marinated beef mince and stir for a minute or two.
  • Add salt and mix. Add yogurt and mix.
  • Add chopped coriander and cook for about 10 minutes on low flame.
  • Then add garam masala and mix.
  • Add fried onions and mix.
  • Place a heated charcoal, pour few drops of oil, cover the lid and let it steam for a minute of two.
