Delicious stir-fried tomatoes and onions prepared in various herbs and spices. Originating in India, this dish is perfect for vegetarians and anyone looking for a low-calorie lunch or dinner option. Serve with rice or naan.

 

Ingredients

    • Oil2 – 3 tablespoon
    • Yellow Mustard Seeds1 teaspoon
    • Black Mustard Seeds½ teaspoon
    • Onions2 – 3, chopped
    • Tomatoes2 – 3, chopped
    • SaltTo taste
    • Turmeric Powder½ teaspoon
    • Red Chilli Powder1 teaspoon
    • Cumin Powder½ teaspoon
    • Coriander Powder½ teaspoon
    • CorianderFor garnish

Preparation

  • In a pot add oil, yellow mustard seeds, black mustard seeds and stir.
  • Add onions and stir. Tomatoes and mix well for 3 minutes.
  • Add salt, turmeric, red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander and mix well. Let it simmer for 08 to 10 minutes.
  • Garnish with coriander.
