Pyaaz Paratha

These deliciously hearty parathas stuffed with caramelized onions are the perfect way to turn a simple paratha into a whole meal. This is a great option for breakfast or sehri since it keeps you feeling full all day long. Serve hot with yogurt or raita.

Ingredients

    • All – purpose flour2 cups
    • Saltto taste
    • Ghee½ cup
    • Oil1 tablespoon
    • Onion, chopped1
    • Saltto taste
    • Coriander Powder½ teaspoon
    • Cumin seeds½ teaspoon
    • Red Chili Powder½ teaspoon
    • Garam Masala½ teaspoon

Preparation

  • In a frying pan, heat oil and saute onions.
  • Add salt, coriander powder, cumin seeds, red chili powder and mix.
  • In a mixing bowl, add all-purpose flour, salt, ghee and mix.
  • Take a ball sized dough, make a flat bread, pour oil, spread oil with a spoon, sprinkle all-purpose flour, fold like a fan and then roll into a tight ball.
  • Then again make a flat bread out of it. Add filling and roll into a flat bread again.
  • Brush oil on the tawa and fry the paratha until both sides are golden brown.
