BUYING
When selecting the right ginger for purchase, make sure you pick the one with a firm texture and smooth body because they are rich in flavour and remain long lasting. It is best to avoid pieces that feel soft, wrinkled or look moldy.

STORING
There are more than a few ways to store ginger and keep it fresh for as long as possible. The basic ones are; wrapping it in a paper towel and keeping it in the refrigerator, or soaking it in a jar of vodka or sherry. Another way to store ginger longer than any other method is to keep it in a ziplock bag with minimum air present within the bag.
