Shish Taouk is a popular Turkish cuisine dish made by marinating chicken in eastern spices. Originating from Ottoman cuisine, it is widely eaten in Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, and Egypt. People enjoy them in Kebab Houses worldwide as a Turkish specialty. Either taken with rice or devoured on its own, Shish Taouk is a quick low-carb meal prepared quickly.

Ingredients

    • Chicken1/2 Kilogram
    • Black PepperTo Taste
    • Garam Masala1 Teaspoon
    • SaltTo Taste
    • Red Chili Powder1 Teaspoon
    • Ginger Garlic Paste1 Teaspoon
    • Yogurt1/2 Cup
    • Kanas Pizza Sauce3 Tablespoon
    • Oil2 Teaspoon
    • Lemon SlicesTo Garnish
    • Coriander LeavesTo Garnish

Preparation

  • In a bowl, take half kg chicken. Add black pepper, garam masala, salt, red chili powder, ginger garlic paste, yogurt, Kanas pizza sauce, and mix well.
  • Cover the bowl and let it marinate for 30 minutes.
  • Insert 3 - 4 chicken pieces on each skewer for grilling.
  • Drizzle olive oil in a grill pan and grill the chicken from both sides.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and lemon slices. Serve hot.
