No iftaari is complete without these crispy onion fritters. Thinly sliced onions are coated in a gram flour batter and deep fired until golden brown. Serve hot with ketchup, chutney, or your favorite sauce for a delicious and unforgettable side dish perfect for your iftaari table.

Ingredients

    • Gram Flour300 grams
    • WaterAs required
    • Red Chilli Powder1 teaspoon
    • Green Chillies2 – 3, finely chopped
    • Chilli Flakes1 tablespoon
    • Turmeric Powder½ teaspoon
    • Cumin Seeds2 tablespoons
    • Coriander½ bunch
    • SaltTo taste
    • Onion3 - 4, Sliced
    • OilFor frying

Preparation

  • In a mixture bowl add gram flour, water and whisk to make a paste.
  • After that add red chilli powder, green chillies, chilli flakes, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, coriander, salt and whisk until everything is mixed.
  • Then add onions and mix until it combines completely with the mixture.
  • Now deep fry the pakoras until they turn brown in color. Take them out in a plate and remove the excess oil.
