Aloo Ki Katliyan


Made with thinly sliced potatoes, this popular Central Asian dish is given a unique Pakistani twist with traditional flavors and spices. Served with hearty parathas, thinly rolled chapati, or steamed rice; this tantalizing dish can be enjoyed in a variety of ways.

    • Oil1 cup
    • Onion, diced1 - 2
    • Cumin Seeds1 tablespoon
    • Potatoes, sliced1 KG
    • Chilli Flakes1 tablespoon
    • SaltTo taste
    • Chicken Powder1 tablespoon
    • Turmeric Powder1 teaspoon
    • WaterAs required
    • Coriander¼ bunch
    • Green chillies2


  • Heat oil in a pan over a medium flame.
  • Add diced onions and saute until the onions change color.
  • Stir in cumin seeds.
  • Add sliced potatoes into the mixture.
  • Add red chili flakes, salt, chicken powder, turmeric powder and mix well.
  • Add half cup water and cover for 10 minutes to let it cook.
  • Garnish with green chilies and coriander.
