This fun and modern take on regular aloo qeema is made by stuffing the scrumptious cooked mince in semi-boiled potato cups, topped with shredded cheese is a delight to one’s taste buds. This dish can either be served with ‘raita’ and sour cream as a side, main dish or even as starters at family gatherings or parties.

Ingredients

    • Beef mince½ KG
    • Oil3 – 4 tablespoons
    • Onion, sliced1 – 2
    • Cumin seeds1 tablespoon
    • Ginger paste1 teaspoon
    • Garlic paste1 teaspoon
    • Ground coriander½ teaspoon
    • Ground cumin½ teaspoon
    • SaltTo taste
    • Red chili powder½ teaspoon
    • Paprika powder1 teaspoon
    • Chili flakes½ teaspoon
    • Tomato paste1 tablespoon
    • Tomato, chopped1
    • Yogurt1 cup
    • Butter1 tablespoon
    • WaterAs required
    • Garam masala1 teaspoon
    • Fresh coriander, choppedFor garnish
    • Boiled potatoes4 – 5
    • Yogurt1 cup
    • Paprika½ teaspoon
    • Black pepper powder½ teaspoon
    • Red chili powder½ tablespoon
    • Mozzarella Cheese, gratedAs needed

Preparation

  • Heat oil in a medium pot and saute the onion until translucent.
  • Add cumin seeds and stir.
  • Add beef mice and stir well.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and mix well.
  • Add ground coriander, ground cumin, salt, red chili powder, paprika, chili flakes, tomato paste, chopped tomatoes and mix well.
  • Add yogurt, mix, cover the lid and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Add butter and mix.
  • Add water, garam masala and mix. Cover the lid and cook on low flame for 10 minutes.
  • Add chopped coriander and mix. Keep it aside.
  • Now, take a boiled potato make a cut with a knife then scoop out all the boiled potatoes and make a space for filling.
  • In a bowl add yogurt, paprika powder, black pepper, red chili powder and mix.
  • Now coat each potato with the mixture.
  • Place the coated potato on the foiled baking sheet and fill each potato with the cooked mince.
  • Add shredded mozzarella cheese on the top and bake for 10 minutes in a pre- heated oven at 200 degrees.
