Try these 6 easy, out-the-box ice tea recipes guaranteed to cool you down and give you the caffeine kick you need!

1.    Pineapple Ice Tea
If you like your ice tea sweet and fragrant, then this is the one for you! With a fresh fruity flavour, this is sure to become your new summer drink!

Directions: In a large Saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil and remove from the heat. Steep 7 tea bags for 3-5 minutes and stir in sugar until dissolved. Stir in one cup of pineapple juice and one thirds of a cup of lemon juice. Let it cool and serve.

2.    Sweet Ice Tea
Like to drink your tea strong but don’t enjoy the bitter taste? Well there’s a way to have both. Take the bitter taste away by adding some baking soda. 

Directions: Boil 2 cups of water, add 6 black tea bags and steep for 10 minutes. Add two pinches of baking soda and two thirds of a cup of sugar. Finally add 6 cups of cold water and serve!

3.    Citrus and Honey Ice Tea
Lemon and tea is an age old combination. Add orange to the mix and suddenly you have the most refreshing pick-me-up you could ask for! 

Directions: Steep 4 tea bags for 3 minutes and add 1 cut lemon and 2 oranges. Add 2 cups of orange juice, one fourth of a cup of lemon juice and three tablespoons of honey. Cover and refrigerate for 6 hours. Stir in 1 litre of ginger ale and serve with frozen orange and lemon slices.  

4.    Moroccan Mint and Melon Tea
Make use of seasonal fruits by making this easy mixer. With just 10 minutes of prep time, making this for warm evening friends is sure to make you pro-host!

Directions: Add 12 fresh mint leaves and 4 green tea bags to 2 cups of boiling water. Steep for 3-5 minutes. Strain and add one third of a cup of sugar. In a blender mix 2 melons. Add 1 cup of ice and the green-tea mixture and blend until combined. Serve with ice.
