Tava Chicken


Traditionally, this chicken dish is cooked on a Tava or flat griddle, hence the name. The boneless chicken is cooked over high heat with fresh tomatoes, onions chillies and a range of spices. It goes well with Naan and paratha.

    • Onions2, sliced
    • Red Chilli Powder1 tablespoon
    • Turmeric Powder½ teaspoon
    • Cumin Powder2 teaspoon
    • Coriander Powder1 teaspoon
    • SaltTo taste
    • Chicken Boneless½ KG
    • Ginger Paste1 teaspoon
    • Garlic Paste1 teaspoon
    • Tomatoes2, diced
    • Chaat Masala½ teaspoon
    • Green Chillies3
    • CorianderFor garnish

  • In a pan heat oil over medium heat, then add cardamom, cinnamon, onions and fry until brown.
  • Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt and mix well.
  • Add chicken, give it a mix then add ginger paste and garlic paste.
  • Add tomatoes and mix well until it becomes tender.
  • Add Chaat masala, green chillies and mix well.
  • Garnish with coriander and give it a mix.
