Mango Sheer Khurma

A classic Eid recipe, sheer khorma, updated to include our favorite fruit of the season, mangoes! This unique and delicious recipe is the perfect dish for a summer Eid gathering.

 

Ingredients

    • Mango, Cubed1
    • Water1 tablespoon
    • Ghee1 cup
    • Vermicelli¾ cup
    • Milk1 litre
    • Sugar6 tablespoon
    • Cardamom Powder1 teaspoon
    • Mango Pulp1 cup
    • Pistachio2 tablespoons
    • Almonds2 tablespoons

Preparation

  • In a blender add mango chunks with 1 small cup of water until turns into a smooth paste.
  • Heat some ghee and then roast the vermicelli and once color changes add milk to it and let it boil for 10 to 15 minutes, keep stirring in the middle.
  • Add sugar, mix well and bring it to a boil.
  • Add cardamom powder and stir. Then add mango pulp and mix.
  • Garnish it with almond and pistachio.
