Maash Ki Daal Ka Halwa


Maash daal halwa is a treat to your sweet tooth. It is a mouth-watering halwa prepared with soaked white lentils and dry fruits. It is usually served on special occasions and tastes delicious.

    • White lentils, soaked½ kilo
    • Water1 litre
    • Ghee1 cup
    • Cardamom powder1 teaspoon
    • Sugar1 cup
    • Milk2–3 tablespoons
    • Pistachio, crushed1 tablespoon
    • Almonds, crushed1 tablespoon


  • To boil the lentils heat water in a medium pot, add soaked lentils, boil until it is completely cooked.
  • Now blend the cooked lentils into a smooth paste.
  • In a wok, heat oil, add the blended lentil and stir well.
  • Then add the milk and stir. Add the cardamom powder and mix well.
  • Then add the sugar, stir until dissolve or till the Halwa leaves the base of the wok.
  • Now add the crushed pistachio, almonds and fold the Halwa
