Bohra Fried Fish

A unique and delicious take on fried fish. This recipe is a specialty of Karachi's Bohra Community. It is different from regular fried fish, and is quite similar to a croquette. It is usually served as a delightful appetizer or snack at Family dinners and Parties.

Ingredients

    • Pangasius fish, fillets½ KG
    • Garlic paste1 teaspoon
    • Saltto taste
    • Red chili powder1 teaspoon
    • Lemon juice1 tablespoon
    • Egg1
    • Vinegar1 tablespoon
    • Bread crumbs1 cup
    • Saltto taste
    • Chili flakes1 teaspoon
    • Oilfor frying

Preparation

  • In a bowl add garlic paste, salt, red chili powder, lemon juice, egg, vinegar and whisk well.
  • Now add the fillets in the mixture and coat well.
  • Cover and it marinate for 30 minutes.
  • Combine breadcrumbs with salt, chili flakes and mix.
  • Now coat the marinated fish fillets in the crumbs.
  • Heat oil in a wok and fry until golden brown.
  • Take out on a tissue paper so that the excess oil is soaked. Serve it with your favourite dip.

    pangasius is a tasteless, third class cheap fish, please do not use this fish or mention in your recipes, punjab food had also banned it. you can use any other good quality of sea,river or farm fish instead of pang
