Ingredients

    • White chickpeas250 Grams
    • SaltTo Taste
    • Red chili powder1 Teaspoon
    • Red chili flakes1 Teaspoon
    • Cumin powder1 Teaspoon
    • Chaat masala1 Teaspoon
    • Chili garlic sauce1 Teaspoon
    • Tamarind pulp1 - 2 Tablespoon
    • Cornflour paste2 Tablespoon
    • WaterAs required
    • Boiled potato cubed1
    • Tomato chopped1
    • Onion chopped2 Tablespoon
    • Curry leaves10 - 12
    • Green chilies chopped2
    • Fresh coriander1/2 cup

Preparation

  • Soak white chickpeas for 6 to 8 hours or leave overnight.
  • In a pan, put the chickpeas and water, and boil for 45 minutes on medium flame.
  • When the chickpeas are soft, add salt, red chili powder, red chili flakes, cumin powder, chaat masala, ketchup and mix well.
  • Now add in tamarind pulp and cornflour paste. Mix well to cook until the gravy thickens.
  • Pour enough water to the pan to make gravy of desired consistency.
  • Toss in chopped boiled potato, tomatoes, onions, curry leaves and give it a quick stir.
  • Garnish with chopped green chilies, fresh coriander, and serve hot.
