Chicken Farcha

Chicken Farcha, originally a Parsi dish, is usually prepared at the time of their religious festival Nowruz. It is fried chicken, marinated in traditional spices. It's best served hot, with a dip of your own choice.

Ingredients

    • Chicken4 Drumsticks
    • Coriander Powder1 teaspoon
    • Red Chilli Powder1 teaspoon
    • SaltTo taste
    • Garam Masala1 teaspoon
    • Cumin Powder1 teaspoon
    • Turmeric Powder1 teaspoon
    • Garlic Paste1 teaspoon
    • Ginger Paste1 teaspoon
    • Vinegar1 teaspoon
    • Eggs, Beaten2
    • Green Chillies, Chopped1 teaspoon
    • Bread CrumbsAs required
    • OilFor frying

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl add chicken drumsticks, coriander powder, red chilli powder, salt, garam masala, cumin powder, turmeric powder, garlic paste, ginger paste, vinegar and mix well.
  • Take two eggs in bowl. Add chopped green chillies, salt, black pepper. Repeat the process with the bread crumbs excluding the green chillies and mix.
  • Now dip the drumsticks into the beaten eggs and roll over bread crumbs.
  • Deep fry the drumsticks until they turn brown. Take them out on a tissue paper to soak the excess oil when they are done.
