Thai Red Chilli Chicken

A southeast Asian specialty which perfectly combines sweet and sour flavors into one delicious dish packed with flavor. This is a wonderful dish to make for lunch or dinner, and is served with rice.

 

Ingredients

    • Chicken, cubes1 KG
    • White pepper1 tablespoon
    • Saltto taste
    • Corn flour1 cup
    • All-purpose flour1 cup
    • Egg1
    • Oil1 tablespoon
    • Thai red chili, chopped1 tablespoon
    • Oyster sauce1 tablespoon
    • Thai red curry paste1 teaspoon
    • Sugar1 teaspoon
    • Lemon juice1 teaspoon
    • Fresh coriander, choppedfor garnish

Preparation

  • To marinate the chicken, combine chicken cubes in a mixing bowl with white pepper, salt to taste, corn flour, all-purpose flour, egg and mix until well combined.
  • Heat oil in a wok over medium to high flame, fry the marinated chicken until golden brown.
  • Then in a frying pan, heat oil over medium flame and add chopped Thai chilies, oyster sauce, Thai red curry paste and saute. Add water to dilute it.
  • Add sugar, lemon juice, fried chicken and mix.
  • Garnish with freshly chopped coriander and serve with rice.
