Chicken boneless, cubes1 KG
Saltto taste
Red chili powder1 teaspoon
Ground cumin1 teaspoon
Ground coriander1 teaspoon
Ginger paste1 teaspoon
Garlic paste1 teaspoon
Oil1 – 2 tablespoons
Oil3 – 4 tablespoons
Onion, sliced1 – 2
Cashew nut paste1 tablespoon
Tomato, sliced1 - 2
Wateras required
Cream1 tablespoon
Green chilies, sliced1 – 2
Kashmiri red chili powder1 teaspoon
Saltto taste
Royal cumin seeds1 teaspoon
Ground black pepper1 teaspoon
Yogurt½ cup
Freshly chopped corianderfor garnish
Preparation
For marination: In a medium sized bowl combine chicken with salt, red chili powder, ground cumin, ground coriander, ginger paste, garlic paste and oil. Mix until well combined.
Let it marinate for 1 hour.
For gravy: Heat oil in a wok, add the marinated chicken and stir fry.
Then separate the cooked chicken and use the gravy.
Add sliced onions, cashew nuts in the gravy and cook for a minute.
Add sliced tomatoes and stir.
Add a little water, cream and stir.
Add sliced green chilies, Kashmiri red chili, salt, royal cumin seeds, ground black pepper and stir well.
Add yogurt, mix and simmer for 8 minutes.
Then add the cooked chicken and mix. Cover the lid and simmer for 5 - 8 minutes again.
Garnish with chopped coriander.
