Prawns, deveined1 kilo
Oil4 tablespoons
Onions, sliced3
Ginger garlic paste1 tablespoon
Salt to taste
Cumin seeds½ tablespoon
Garam masala1 tablespoon
Star anise3
Cardamom2
Black cardamom2
Coconut milk powder½ tablespoon
Coriander seeds½ teaspoon
Cinnamon stick1
Deghi red chili powder1 teaspoon
Ground turmeric½ teaspoon
Green chili4
Pepper corn1 teaspoon
Cloves1 teaspoon
Whole red chili4
Chicken powder½ teaspoon
Rice, pre soaked½ kilo

Preparation
Heat oil in a large pot and sauté sliced onions until golden brown.
Add ginger garlic paste and sauté it well.
Stir in deveined prawns on a semi-high flame.
On a low flame, add salt, cumin seeds, garam masala, star anise, cardamom, black cardamom, coconut milk powder, coriander seeds, cinnamon stick, deghi red chili powder, and turmeric. Mix well.
Add green chili, pepper corns, and cloves. Mix well.
Add a whole red chili, chicken powder and stir for two minutes.
Cover the lid and cook on low flame for about 8 minutes until the oil has separated.
Add pre-soaked rice. Give it a good mix.
On a high flame, add water to the rice and cook rice until half of the water has evaporated.
Cover the lid and steam rice for about 10 minutes. Then garnish it with coriander and serve.
