Beef boneless1 KG
Bottle gourd½ kg
Oil3-4 tablespoons
Onion, sliced3
Ginger garlic paste1 tablespoon
Red chili powder1 tablespoon
Ground turmeric½ teaspoon
Ground cumin1 tablespoon
Ground coriander1 tablespoon
Garam masala½ teaspoon
Saltto taste
Peppercorn½ teaspoon
Yoghurt1/2 cup
Water½ litre
Green chilies3
Green chiliesfor garnish
Fresh coriander, choppedfor garnish
Cloves1/2 teaspoon
Preparation
Heat the oil in a large pot and sauté onions until they are brown.
Add peppercorn, cloves, ginger garlic paste and stir-well.
Now add cubed beef, sauté until it is no longer pink.
Add the red chili powder, ground turmeric, ground cumin, ground coriander, garam masala, salt and stir well.
Add the yogurt and mix well.
Then add the water and stir, cover the lid and cook for 15 minutes until the meat is tender.
Now add the cubed bottle gourd, green chilies and stir, cover the lid and cook for 8 minutes or until bottle gourd is cooked.
Garnish with the green chilies and chopped coriander.
