This tasty and healthy dish is of Middle Eastern origin, and is made from blended chickpeas, tahini paste, olive oil and lemon juice. This dish goes as far as back as 13th century, and is widely popular across cultures. Serve with pita bread, tortilla chips, or your favorite crunchy snack for a quick and easy appetizer that's just as nutritious as it is delicious.

Ingredients

    • Chickpeas, Boiled300 grams
    • Tahini Paste2 tablespoon
    • WaterAs required
    • SaltTo taste
    • Cumin powder½ teaspoon
    • Lemon Juice1 tablespoon
    • Garlic Paste1 teaspoon
    • Olive Oil1 – 2 tablespoon

Preparation

  • In a blender add boiled chickpeas and blend until it makes a paste like structure.
  • Add Tahini paste and blend. Add water gradually.
  • Add salt, cumin powder, lemon juice, garlic paste and blend it all together.
  • Then add olive oil and blend.
