Chicken Rice Momos

This recipe is a unique combination of rice mixed with chicken mince for an extremely delicious looking and tasting recipe. The mince in this recipe is marinated using a number of spices and sauces for an authentic flavour. It is then made into a ball-like shape and covered in rice as a dressing on top. The method of steaming to cook the rice and meat allows the rice to stick, making the meatball look like a spicy hedgehog. Ingredients

    • Chicken Mince1 KG
    • Carrot1 cup
    • Cabbage1 cup
    • Spring Onion1 cup
    • Soy Sauce1 tbsp
    • Oyster Sauce1 tbsp
    • Black Pepperto taste
    • Saltto taste
    • Egg½, whisked
    • Sesame Oil½ tsp
    • Rice, SoakedFor coating

Preparation

  • In a bowl add chicken with carrots, cabbage, green chilies, soy sauce, oyster sauce, black pepper, salt, egg, chili sauce and mix well until all the ingredients are well combined. Put it aside.
  • In a flat plate take soaked rice and take a handful of the chicken mince stuffing and make a round ball and cover it with soaked rice.
  • Now place the rice covered stuffing balls into a steamer and let it steam for 25 minutes.
