Anday Ka Halwa


Anday ka halwa is a delicacy of winters. This delicious halwa is made from cooking eggs to perfection with nuts and ground cardamom. This dish can be served as breakfast along with puris on special occasions and family brunch.

    • Clarified butter1 cup
    • Semolina1 cup
    • Milk½ cup
    • Egg, beaten4 – 5
    • Cardamom powder1 teaspoon
    • Sugar1 cup
    • Yellow food colorfew drops
    • Raisins½ cup
    • Almonds, crushed3 – 4
    • Cashew nuts6 – 7


  • In a medium pot heat clarified butter, add semolina and saute.
  • Over a low flame add milk and stir well.
  • While stirring, pour the half of the beaten egg and keep mixing until fully cooked. Then pour the remaining half of the egg and keep stirring.
  • Then add the cardamom powder and keep mixing.
  • Add sugar and keep stirring.
  • Add few drops of food coloring, keep mixing until the eggs are completely cooked until it leaves the base of the pot.
  • Add raisins, almonds and mix.
  • Then garnish with cashew nuts.
