He is a Monegasque chef born in Southwestern France who was educated on a farm in Castel-Sarrizan. He was sixteen when he began apprenticeship at the Pavillon Landais restaurant. After that he began to work at Micheal Guerard's restaurant, who is known to be another popular chef of the area. Ducasse also worked under the legendary Chef Roger Verge. His first position as chef came in 1980, when he took over the kitchen at L’Amandier in Mougins. In 1986, Ducasse was offered the chef position at the Hotel de Paris in Monte Carlo. Ducasse prepared a multi-course gala dinner for Prince Albert and his bride, Charlene, and 500 other guests at their royal wedding. He has been a special guest on Masterchef in 2013 and was also rewarded the lifetime achievement of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants. He is a maestro in the culinary world, who is still one of the most famous chefs in the international food industry.
