When it comes to street food, its safe to say that Chaat is the first choice of many. But the struggle remains of finding the perfect chaat, with the right condiments, the right amount of crispy papri, and whether we want Chana or Baray.

In our search to find the best – most famous – Chaat in Karachi, we found ourselves in the center of the city – garden east – outside Shams Chaat House. Shams Chaat house offers much more in variety than just chaat. Their menu ranges from bun kebabs, bhel puri, pani puri, and of course their famous chaat.

When speaking with the owner, we were told that the chaat can not be mixed as it tastes better on its own, as its served. They believe in different ingredients playing their part in each bite you take, making the chaat a whole new experience.

 After tasting the scrumptious special chana chaat at Shams Chaat house, we can surely call it legendary!
