Chicken Shashlik


A spicy and tangy dish that endeavors the flavors of perfectly marinated chicken skewers pierced along with cubed capsicum, onions and tomatoes grilled until crisp. It can be cooked in the form of gravy. But, tastes better when grilled on charcoal and served with garlic rice or fried rice.

    • Chicken boneless, cubes1 KG
    • Paprika1 tablespoon
    • Brown sugar1 tablespoon
    • Soya sauce1 tablespoon
    • Chicken powder1 tablespoon
    • Chili flakes1 tablespoon
    • Ginger garlic paste1 tablespoon
    • Saltto taste
    • Ground black pepper1 tablespoon
    • Oyster sauce1 tablespoon
    • White vinegar1 tablespoon
    • Pimento red, cubes1
    • Pimento yellow, cubes1
    • Bell pepper, cubed1
    • Onion, cubed1
    • Oilfor frying
    • Bamboo skewers10 – 15


  • In a bowl combine chicken cubes with paprika, brown sugar, soya sauce, chicken powder, chili flakes, ginger garlic paste, salt, black pepper, oyster sauce, white vinegar, stir until well coated.
  • Cover, let it marinate for an hour.
  • For assembling cut bell pepper, yellow pimento, red pimento, onion into equal cubes keep it in a bowl.
  • Now first sore chicken cubes in the wooden skewers, then yellow pimento, bell pepper, red pimento, repeat, securing with cubed onion.
  • In a frying pan heat oil and fry it, each side 6 minutes.
