Fried Bread Trifle


A quick and easy dessert prepared with golden brown fried bread topped with a rich and creamy custard. An interesting take on a classic Shahi Tukray recipe, this recipe is a simplified version that even a beginner can attempt.

    • Milk½ liter
    • Sugar1 cup
    • Vanilla Essence1 teaspoon
    • Corn Flour Mixture2-3 tablespoons
    • Condensed Milk3 - 4 tablespoons
    • Cream2 - 3 tablespoons
    • BreadAs required
    • PistachioFor garnish


  • In a large pot, add milk, sugar, vanilla essence and whisk well for 10 minutes.
  • Add corn flour mixture, stir. Add condensed milk, cream and whisk well for 5 minutes, then keep it aside.
  • Take a slice of bread and cut the sides off. Cut it into triangular pieces.
  • Now fry these slices in pre-heated oil.
  • Top with creamy mixture on it. Garnish with pistachio nuts.
