Paneer Reshmi Handi

A Kolachi inspired reshmi handi made with cubed chicken, thick gravy and seasoning. The recipe is simple, cheesy,delicious and can be served with roghni naan and garlic naan.

Ingredients

    • Chicken boneless, cubes1 kilogram
    • Oil2 -3 tablespoons
    • Unsalted butter1 tablespoon
    • Ginger garlic paste1 tablespoon
    • Onion paste½ cup
    • White pepper½ teaspoon
    • Saltto taste
    • Ground black pepper½ teaspoon
    • Lemon juice1 teaspoon
    • Waterif needed
    • Cream1 cup
    • Cheddar cheese, cubed1 cup
    • Garam masala½ teaspoon
    • Green chilies, sliced2

Preparation

  • In small pot heat oil, butter, add chicken and cook until it is no longer pink.
  • Add ginger paste, garlic paste, onion paste and stir.
  • Add white pepper, salt, black pepper powder, lemon juice and mix.
  • Add water, mix, cover the lid and simmer for 7 minutes.
  • Add cream, mix well and simmer for 5 minutes more.
  • Add cubed cheddar cheese, garam masala, sliced green chilies and a little water. Mix well.
