Green Chicken Karhai

Tender chicken cooked in a thick gravy. The gravy is prepared from green chilli spice, yogurt and black pepper. Served best with hot chapati and raita.

Ingredients

    • Mint½ bunch
    • Coriander½ bunch
    • Green Chillies3 - 4
    • SaltTo taste
    • garlic cloves3 - 4
    • Lemon Juice1 teaspoon
    • Vinegar1 teaspoon
    • WaterAs required
    • Oil4 – 5 tablespoon
    • Chicken½ KG
    • Ginger Garlic Paste1 tablespoon
    • Butter2 tablespoon
    • Coriander Powder1 teaspoon
    • Cumin Powder1 teaspoon
    • Black Pepper Powder1 teaspoon
    • SaltTo taste

Preparation

  • In a blender add mint, coriander, green chillies, salt, garlic cloves, lemon juice, vinegar, water and blend.
  • In a wok add oil , chicken and cook until chicken tenders.
  • Take then chicken out in a bowl and set it aside for later use. Add prepared green chatni in the wok and mix well.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and mix well. Now add the cooked chicken and stir until it completely mixes with the mixture.
  • Add butter and mix well.
  • Add coriander powder, cumin powder, black pepper powder and mix well. Add salt to your taste.
